Nearby History: How to Research Your House or Favorite Building

This workshop, presented in partnership with Historic Seattle, introduces the skills needed to discover and document the history of your own home and/or neighborhood. Find out how to dig-up architectural permits and plans, recognize original structural elements, and identify the individuals who gave your home its personality. From private residences to businesses, churches, and public structures, this workshop will open your eyes to the buildings that preserve your communityâs history.
Note: Please bring your own lunch and wear comfortable shoes for our afternoon walking tour, Free parking is provided. Advanced registration is strongly encouraged.
